Powell, Zero, Mundy takes personal injury cases on a contingency fee basis, which means that the fee is contingent on the outcome of the case. Powell, Zero, Mundy agrees to accept a fixed percentage of the amount paid to the client if the outcome is successful. That is, if our client prevails and the court awards damages, Powell, Zero, Mundy’s legal fee is paid from this award. If the case is lost and our client does not prevail, Powell, Zero, Mundy will not receive any money for fees, and the client will not be charged for any of Powell, Zero, Mundy’s work in litigating the case.

The fee percentage is usually 33 to 40 percent based on whether the case settles or proceeds to trial. Keep in mind that clients are required, win or lose, to pay the costs of the case.
